Powers Winery is located in Kennewick, Washington, operates in tandem with Badger Mountain Vineyard, and is a longtime grower in the Wine Country of the Columbia Valley. The estate spans about 75 acres of certified organic vines, with the Badger Mountain vineyard being one of Washington’s pioneering organic sites - its certification dates back to 1990. Powers sources fruit from that estate but also from top sites throughout the region, including single vineyard appellations, supporting a portfolio with top notch bottlings and appellation specific wines that showcase the quality, depth, and complexity of Washington state.
The winery was founded by Bill Powers in 1982 and has garnered respect for its forward thinking approach to sustainable practices and energy stewardship. Bill’s legacy included the early adoption of solar power (even contributing to the grid) and biodiesel, as well as innovation in environmentally friendly packaging (such as boxed organic wines). Today, Greg Powers leads winemaking, carrying forward both the quality focus and the sustainable, place centered ethos established by his father.
