In 2008, Nino Bevilacqua, a Palermo engineer, breathed life into Terrazze dell’Etna winery, guided by the legendary Italian vintner Riccardo Cotarella. This extraordinary estate, sprawling across 36 hectares adorned with vineyards, olive, cherry, chestnut, and oak trees, grows its grapes at altitudes of 600-950 meters a.s.l. — among the world's loftiest vineyards.

The name "Terrazze" echoes the ancestral terracing method, revitalized by the Bevilacqua family a decade ago upon acquiring the farm. While cultivating international varieties for sparkling wines, the heart of this place rests with the native Nerello grape family — Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio.

Hand-tended fields and integrated farming, harmonizing crops and livestock, nurture biodiversity. The soil, volcanic and born from distant Mt. Etna's upheavals, cradles the land. Traditional winemaking, with tender hands and minimal intervention, shapes expressions of purity that define this appellation.
