Welcome Heath Porter, a self-taught food and beverage aficionado with humble beginnings in a dry county in North Alabama. At just 15, he started his culinary journey washing dishes at a truck stop, laying the foundation for a remarkable career. Heath's passion for the industry led him to Hawaii, where he worked his way up from cook to sommelier, winning prestigious titles along the way, including the Pacific region's best young sommelier.
Over the years, he shaped the wine programs at renowned establishments like W Hotel's Diamond Head Grill and Sea Island Resort, earning international recognition. In 2010, he transformed The Greenbrier Resort's dining experience as Director of Wine, overseeing significant expansions and garnering numerous accolades. Relocating to Miami in 2014, Heath opened the acclaimed Uvaggio wine bar and later introduced No Name Chinese, both celebrated for their innovative cuisine and exceptional wine offerings. Today, as an advanced level sommelier and managing partner, Heath continues to thrive in the industry he loves.
